The 2019 ACPPLD annual learning event took place earlier this week at the Golden Jubilee Hotel, Clydebank. The event was a great success with 72 delegates enjoying the CPD and networking over the 2 days. Huge thanks are extended to the Scottish organizing committee - 'the lasses in the sashes' and thanks also to all the speakers, sponsors and the staff at Golden Jubilee Hotel for their help and assistance.
Hopefully many of you followed the event on Twitter but if not, you can look back now on the @acppld or #LDPhysio threads. There are lots of photos and some videos to enjoy. If you were a delegate, thank you very much for your active participation in all aspects, from PEP mask testing to Body boosting bingo and all sorts in between.
A write up of the learning sessions will be in the next edition of the ACPPLD newsletter. Meantime you can also view the posters which were displayed at the event by following this link:

At the AGM we had a new member elected to the National committee, Sharon Griffin, and I'm sure Angie will have her biog for you in a future newsletter. We also saw the retirement of longstanding national committee member (and former chairperson) Sue Over. Sue was presented with a cake and a gift in recognition of her huge contribution to the ACPPLD over the years. At the end of the event, as is tradition, the rosebowl was handed on to next years host region - South West and South Wales (SW2).
Pictured below are the Scottish organising committee, Jenny Tinkler (Chair) and Sue Over with Sue's cake, and Karen Black (Scottish Chair) presenting rosebowl to Bethan Evans (SW2 regional rep)
